Travel Tips
We’ll be arriving in Sitges a few days early to settle in and kick off the celebrations.
If you’d like to extend your trip and turn this into a vacation, we’d love to see you! We plan to spend a few days relaxing by the pool and exploring the town, so feel free to arrive early and join us before the official festivities begin on Friday.
Arriving
—
Barcelona-El Prat Airport
Depending on where you’re staying and arriving, we recommend either renting a car at the airport or taking a taxi/private transfer to Sitges or Calafell. Both are walkable beach towns once you arrive.
Accommodations
—
Hotels / Airbnbs
We’ll have a hotel room block available closer to when invites are sent for those who prefer the convenience of staying together (Most likely Le Méridien Ra Beach Hotel & Spa or Akquaaa Boutique Hotel). If you’d rather have more space or a different vibe, we encourage you to book a Hotel / Airbnb in Sitges or Calafell that fits your style and budget.
Activities
Wine & Cava in Penedès
Book a wine or cava tasting in the nearby Penedès region, where you can tour vineyards, learn how cava is made, and sample local bottles.
Beach Day
Enjoy a beach day wherever you land along the coast, Tarragona, Sitges, or Calafell all have beautiful stretches of sand. Spain is famous for its chiringuitos, casual beach bars right on the sand!
Gaudí in Barcelona
Start your trip with a half day in Barcelona visiting Gaudí’s masterpieces, like Sagrada Família, Park Güell, or Casa Batlló.
Day Trip to Montserrat
Take a day trip to Montserrat, a mountain monastery with incredible views, hiking paths, and a famous Black Madonna shrine.
